I have been working in education in Careers Guidance/Coaching and Development (L&D/OD in busy HR teams) for over 15 years.  As well as my practical experience, I have various professional memberships, qualifications and accolades including:

  • Diplomas in Career Guidance and Development, as well as Career Coaching

  • ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) certificate in Coaching (pending)

  • Diploma in Learning and Development from the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development)

  • Psychometric profiling practitioner for Myers Briggs (MBTI) and Thomas International PPA (DISC theory) and TEIQ (Trait Emotional Intelligence Indicator)

  • Associate member of CIPD, member and on professional register of the CDI (Career Development Institute) and student member of the ILM

  • My work has been used as an example of best practice by the NfER (National Federation for Educational Research) and in the same year I was nominated as a National Career Champion finalist

  • I was also one of the first National Careers Week Ambassadors 

  • I have a full DBS check (children and adults) and signed up to the online checking service

  • I follow the EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) competency framework and GCMA Global Code of Ethics in Coaching and Mentoring

  • I have a large network of employers who have supported me over many years in working on various careers education activities for young people, from interview practice days to work experience and workplace mentoring.

All of this means that not only do I know the Career Guidance sector inside and out, I have the skills, experience and qualifications when it comes to designing and delivering development activities for professionals.  This means I will be able to support you in developing your knowledge and fully utilising your skills, so you can support the young people in your care.
